Every visitors on this island can feel like a star. That is how much you are welcomed. Located far from the main land in Lake Malawi, the 3rd biggest lake in Africa, the local people fish on a hand-paddled boat and grow cassava on a tiny hill. Life seems very simple here although we, the visitors are busy answering the locals who pass by on the way and start conversations each time. They ask where we are from and the kids ask us to take their photos. If we do, there were more and more to come and becomes a big cloud that follow us around. While our stay, we were companied by someone all the time, I feel like I talked to every single one of the local people. I can't think of any other place on earth that welcome visitors like they do in Chizumulu. Such a precious island.
