一年近く海外を旅しているのに、なぜか、どこか遠い世界に来ている気分になってしまう。もしかしたら、ここがホントの楽園なのかもしれない。朝も昼も夜も変わり続ける空と海とが、とにかく広くて大きくて、歴史にとり残されたモアイたちは、そんな気分をより特別なものにしてくれる。太平洋に不自然なくらいポツンと浮かぶ、イースター島。世界の果てまで続くような水平線に囲まれたこの神秘的な島は、そんな不思議な気持ちにさせてくれるところ。モアイだけじゃない、素敵な島。

Although it has been almost a year since I started traveling abroad, it still makes me feel distant somehow. I may be in the true paradise. In the morning through day and night, the vast sky and the ocean just keep changing. Left alone from the timeline, the moai statues stir up my distant feelings. Eastern island is unusually remote in the pacific ocean. This mysterious island surrounded by the horizon which seems to continue till the end of the world brings me to a different world. Above and beyond moai, the island is full of wonder.
